About Us
In March of 2004, Tim Renner found out that his son, Pete, had been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Like any parent finding out something like this, he was devastated. Tim, having close ties with the local biker and classic car communities, decided to put on a Poker Run to help lift Pete's spirits. The overwhelming support from the bikers and local car clubs was unbelievable. The first Pete Renner Poker Run was a success!
After seeing how much this helped his son, Tim vowed to help a child in need every year, and The Pete Renner Foundation, Inc. was born. This is a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is helping local families with children who have life-threatening illnesses or conditions but can't afford to get them the medical attention they require.
The Pete Renner Foundation, Inc. is entirely run by volunteers: none are considered employees and no one draws a salary. All donations and funds raised are distributed to the hospitals and medical personnel in charge of treatment.
